Borrowing its title from writer and historian Rebecca Solnit, The Blue of Distance invites a meditation on how we often find ourselves in the unknown – both metaphorically and physically. “Blue is the color of longing for the distances you never arrive in.”

A 16-panel long ‘scroll’ painting, traverses both literal and metaphorical distance. The panorama also alludes to traditional Chinese scroll paintings.
